Glenford Truck and Tractor Pull

Truck Rules

No alcoholic beverages allowed.

Glenford Lions Club or any persons involved with pull are not responsible for accidents.

All vehicles will be operated in a safe manner at all times.  Unsafe operations will result in disqualification or removal from grounds.

All vehicles must have working brakes!!!!!

Anyone not involved in the pull shall be required to stay off the track for safety reasons.

All weights must be securely fastened.  Anything lost on track while hooked to sled will result in disqualification.

Driver must put vehicle in neutral and take foot off clutch before sled will be hooked.

Any jerking of sled will result in disqualification.

Drawbars must be stationary in all directions while pulling and hook must hang down freely in 3 “opening of drawbar. Tractor or truck must have clear access to sled hook in order to hook.

No part of vehicle will interfere with sled.

Disqualification will result if sled or vehicle touches guardrail.

Each driver has 2 chances to get front of sled past 75 foot mark.  These attempts must be consecutive.

After first puller in each class has made their pull, they have the option to pass that pull and either pull again immediately or in the third position.

If weight is changed on sled, first puller has option to pull immediately or drop to third.

Driver has option to spot sled before it is pulled back to starting position, if the sled was pulled over 75 feet by previous puller.

If less than10 entries per class or at executive decision, vehicles can double entry, but only place one per class.

When sled is ready, puller has 2 minutes to hook.  If unable to pull at this time may drop to last [mechanical problem only]

Anyone under the age of 18 must have a signed consent form by parents or guardian

Minimum of 5 pullers in class to pay first place money. If less first place money is dropped and second is paid instead.

ALLVEHICLES MUST WEIGH OUT AND DRAWBAR CHECKED IMMEDIATELY AFTER THEY PULL.  YOU WILL FORFEIT PRIZE MONEY IF YOU DON’T

Any vehicle can be inspected at any time.

No pressurized fuel unless factory equipped.

 Uncut tires for checked class.  Cut tires are for unchecked or hot farm class.

Any rule not covered above will be decided as needed by members of rules committee; excessive complaining will result in disqualifying, decision final.

General Rules

ENGINES & DRIVETRAIN
1. BLOCKS AND HEADS MUST BE CAST IRON.
2. ALUMINUM INTAKES, SINGLE FOUR-BARREL CARBURETORS AND EFI PERMITTED.
3. 4500 SERIES DOMINATORS, TURBOS AND SUPERCHARGERS ARE NOT PERMITTED.
4. HEADERS PERMITTED WITH MUFFLERS AND MUST EXIT BEHIND CAB.
5. ENGINE MUST BE SAME MAKE AS TRUCK AND IN STOCK LOCATION.
6. 514 CU. IN. LIMIT.
7. TRANSMISSION AND TRANSFERCASE MUST BE OEM, 1 TON OR LESS.
8. FRONT AND REAR AXLES MUST BE OEM, 1 TON OR LESS.

CHASSIS
1. FACTORY FRAMES 1 TON OR LESS REQUIRED WITH COIL OR LEAF SPRINGS FRONT AND REAR.
2. TRACTION BARS ARE PERMITTED.
3. REAR SUSPENSION BLOCKS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
4. CREW CAB AND EXTENDED CAB TRUCKS ARE PERMITTED.

WEIGHTS
1. NO FRONT WEIGHTS, HEAVY PIPE BUMPERS, BRUSH GUARDS, OR SNOW PLOWS.
2. WEIGHTS MUST BE SECURED IN BED, NOT IN CAB OR IN ENGINE COMPARTMENT.

HITCH
1. HITCH POINT MUST BE A MINIMUM OF 48”¯ FROM THE CENTER OF THE REAR AXLE AND A MAXIMUM OF 24”¯ HIGH.
2. NO PART OF HITCH CAN EXTEND FORWARD PAST THE CENTER OF THE REAR AXLE AND NO HITCH ADJUSTMENT PERMITTED FROM REAREND.

TRUCK
1. MUST HAVE COMPLETE FACTORY SHEET METAL AND WINDOWS.
2. NO REMOVING OF BED FLOOR.
3. FLAT BEDS ARE PERMITTED AS LONG AS THEY ARE FACTORY BUILT OR HEAVIER.
4. FIBERGLASS HOODS AND HOOD SCOOPS PERMITTED..
5. BATTERIES AND FUEL TANKS MUST BE IN STOCK LOCATION OR IN BED.

TIRES
1. ANY STREET LEGAL DOT APPROVED TIRE IS PERMITTED.
2. MAXIMUM TIRE SIZE 36”¯ TALL X16”¯ WIDE.
3. NO CUT OR SHARPENED TIRES ALLOWED.

SAFETY
1. NO NITROUS OR ANY PRESSURIZED FUELS.
2. PUMP GAS OR RACING GAS ONLY. NO ALCOHOL OR NITRO PERMITTED.
3. DRIVE SHAFT LOOPS, U-JOINT SHEILDS, BLOWPROOF BELLHOUSING OR TRANSMISSION BLANKETS ARE REQUIRED AND KILL SWITCHES ARE
MANDITORY FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY

1. TRUCKS CAN BE TRAILERED IN, BUT MUST MEET THE REST OF OUR RULES FOR THE STREET LEGAL CLASS.

2. TRUCKS COMPETING IN THIS CLASS MUST BE STOCK IN APPEARANCE.

3. ENGINE, AND DRIVETRAIN MUST COME FACTORY IN A 1 TON OR LESS PICKUP.

4. THIS CLASS IS LIMITED TO A SINGLE CHARGER. THE INDUCER BORE CAN'T EXCEED 2.60". THIS WILL BE TECHED USING A 2.65" PLUG, IF THE PLUG GOES IN YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. THE LARGEST DIAMETER OF THE INTAKE COMPRESSOR WHEEL MAY NOT EXCEED 100mm. NO REDUCERS OF ANY KIND PERMITTED TO MAKE A LARGER TURBO PASS INSPECTION. THIS ALSO INCLUDES WELDING AND REMACHINING INDUCER BORE TO MAKE A LARGER TURBO PASS. THE STOCK MAP WIDTH ENHANCEMENT (MWE) GROOVE IS ALLOWED. NO MWE GROOVE WIDER THAN A 1/4" WILL BE PERMITTED. NOTE LARGER CHARGERS AND TWINS ARE PERMITTED AS LONG AS THEY ARE O.E.M. FOR THAT YEAR OF TRUCK.

5. DIESEL FUEL AND BIO DIESEL ARE THE ONLY FUELS PERMITTED IN THIS CLASS.

6. SMOKE MUST EXIT UP THROUGH STACKS OR YOU WILL NEED A TURN UP ON YOUR TAIL PIPE. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!

7. SUSP. MUST HAVE 1" OF TRAVEL. TRACTION BARS ARE PERMITTED AS LONG AS THEY DON'T RESTRICT SUSP. TRAVEL.

8. MUST PULL OFF OF A REESE TYPE HITCH, MOUNTED SOLID TO THE FRAME W/NO MOVEMENT. HOOKING POINT MUST BE THE FURTHEST POINT BACK OF THE TRUCK AND A MAXIMUM OF 26" HIGH.

9. FRONT WEIGHTS AND BRACKETS CAN'T EXCEED 60" FROM CENTER OF FRONT AXLE.

10. ANY D.O.T. APPROVED TIRE IS PERMITTED. NO CUTTING OR SHARPENING OF TIRES PERMITTED.

11. NO NITROUS, PROPANE, OR ANY OTHER PRESSURIZED FUEL PERMITTED. ANY TANKS, LINES, OR ETC. MUST BE REMOVED FROM TRUCK BEFORE COMPETING.

12. MANDITORY SAFETY: ALL TRUCKS MUST HAVE 6" LONG U-JOINT SHIELDS COVERING REAR END YOKE, REAR OUT PUT YOKE, FRONT OUT PUT YOAK, AND FRONT END YOKE. THE FRONT OUT PUT YOKE COVER IS NOT REQUIRED IF LACK OF ROOM PEVENTS INSTALLATION

1. 26" HITCH MAX

2. ALL SAFETY SHEILDS BELLHOUSINGS, BLANKETS AND KILL SWITCHES REQUIRED.

1. CAST IRON BLOCKS ONLY, ALUMINUM INTAKES, ANY CAST IRON OR CONVENTIONAL TYPE ALUMINUM CYLINDER HEADS PERMITTED. NO PRO STOCK TYPE CYLINDER HEADS, SHEET METAL, OR TUNNEL RAM INTAKES PERMITTED. NO DRY SUMP OILING SYSTEMS.
2. A 585CU. IN. LIMIT WILL BE ENFORCED.
3. DOMINATOR CARBS. PERMITTED. NO TURBOS, SUPERCHARGERS, INJECTION, EFI, SPLIT OR DUAL CARBS.
4. OPEN HEADERS PERMITTED MUST EXIT DOWN AND BACK.
5. ENGINE MUST BE SAME MAKE AS TRUCK AND THE BACK SIDE OF THE BLOCK MUST BE ATLEAST 15" BEHIND THE CENTER OF FRONT AXLE.
6. TRANSMISSION, TRANSFERCASE FRONT, AND REAR END MUST BE OEM, 1 TON OR LESS.
7. HEAVY DUTY AFTERMARKET DRIVETRAIN PARTS CAN BE USED IN OEM HOUSINGS.

CHASSIS
1. FACTORY FRAMES ONLY NO TUBE CHASSIS.
2. TRACTION BARS ARE PERMITTED.
3. SOLID OR BLOCK SUSPENION PERMITTED FRONT AND REAR.
4. CREW CAB AND EXTENDED CAB TRUCKS ARE PERMITTED.

WEIGHTS
1. FRONT WEIGHTS AND BRACKETS MAY NOT EXTEND MORE THAN 195 INCHES FORWARD FROM THE CENTER OR REAR AXLE.
2. THIS MEASUREMENT IS USED TO COMPENSATE FOR ALLOWING LONGER WHEELBASE TRUCKS TO COMPETE.

HITCH
1. HITCH MUST BE A MINIMUM OF 36” FROM THE CENTER OF THE REAR AXLE AND A MAXIMUM OF 24”-26"HIGH DEPENDING ON EVENT.
2. HITCH CAN BE ADJUSTABLE, BUT IT MUST BE STATIONARY IN ALL DIRECTIONS WHEN PULLING.

TRUCK
1. CAB MUST HAVE FACTORY SHEET METAL AND WINDOWS.
2. MUST HAVE GOOD SOLID BED FLOORS.
3. FLAT BEDS ARE PERMITTED AS LONG AS THEY ARE FACTORY BUILT OR HEAVIER.
