6-13-2008 The lions club notified me that they were charging $6.00 for admission up from $5.00 to cover the cost of the sled rental. 6-14-2008 The June pull went off with just a little delay from mother nature. The rains the night before the pull and that morning made the track to slick to start the morning session on time. After grading the track and changing the start to the opposite end of the track the day session went well and we even ended the morning session on time. By the time the evening session started we had a packed house and people were even parking on the roads. The wet track made it difficult for the trucks to get moving but with a change to the sled and a little time the night session moved right along, and along, and along. If you didn’t stay for the end it was around 2:00AM by the time all vehicles were done pulling. Thanks for coming out and hope to see you again. 7-12-2008 The decision to not water the track the night before made the today's track a challenge for all the pullers. In the morning session the track was dry and a little slick and finding a good line proved difficult. About half way through we had a shower come through and soak the track which helped because the track was getting a little dusty. After working the water in the morning session finished without a hitch. Wish we could say that for the evening session. After just a couple trucks pulled the rain started and soaked the top of the track. After working the track we started over and just after 2 trucks had pulled the skies opened up and drenched us. After watching the puddles get deep the pull was called and we added a pull on 10/11/2008 to make up for the rain out this month. We thank all of you for coming out and watching the rain with us. 7-25-2008 The updates to the WEB site are finally up. Check out the photos and results fro the fist 2 pulls. Thanks to our new sponsor Stone horse Photography for becoming our new WEB hosting sponsor. 8-09-2008 We had great weather for the august pull, well until it rained. Actually the weather was terrific until around midnight when it rained out the very last class of the day. We had many new tractors and trucks as well as the regulars and a huge crowd on hand to watch. 8-09-2008 A decision was made to move the 8500 lb checked tractors to the last class of the afternoon session and to move the 7500 hot farm as the first class. Hopefully this will help us get through all the classes a little faster and end sooner. 8-16-2008 We put on the tractor pull at the Zanesville fair to huge crowds. I hope everyone enjoyed the showed, it looked like most people stayed for the whole night. |
